Eastbound delays reached 3.5 miles during an all-day wind warning on Wednesday.
A wind warning with sustained speeds between 30 and 39 mph remained in effect all day, preventing routine two-way operations during the evening rush. Eastbound delays peaked with a 3.5-mile backup extending to Exit 29A (Busch Frontage Road) between 4:28 PM and 5:28 PM, pushing travel times to 25 minutes. Traffic eased back past Exit 31 (Whitehall Road) by 6:12 PM before clearing by 6:38 PM, while westbound lanes remained free of delays.
