Friday Bay Bridge Delays Peak with 9.5-Mile Eastbound Backups
Eastbound traffic on US 50 reached a peak 9.5-mile backup stretching back to Exit 22 (MD 665) between 2:07 PM and 4:47 PM, pushing travel times to 32 minutes. Westbound motorists faced up to 4-mile delays from Exit 48 (South Piney Creek Rd) after 1:07 PM, exacerbated at 1:52 PM when a disabled vehicle temporarily reduced westbound travel to a single lane. Normal traffic flow returned in both directions by 7:22 PM.
