Police activity causes severe evening eastbound delays on US 50
Morning travel saw minor delays eastbound reaching Exit 29B (Cape Saint Claire Road), followed by afternoon westbound backups extending to Exit 39A (Castle Marina Road). Police activity at 8:37 PM led to a span closure and caused severe eastbound delays peaking at 153 minutes with backups stretching 3 miles to Exit 29B. Conditions normalized after 10:27 PM when standard overnight two-way traffic patterns resumed on the westbound bridge for scheduled roadwork.
