Westbound Bay Bridge delays peaked at 2.5 miles Saturday afternoon
Eastbound traffic remained clear all day, while westbound delays began around 11:27 a.m. at Exit 37 and reached an 18-minute crossing time. Westbound backups peaked at 2.5 miles back to Exit 39A (Castle Marina Road) between 1:23 p.m. and 3:03 p.m. All approaches cleared by 4:28 p.m. Later at 11:27 p.m., the eastbound bridge closed for overnight roadwork, shifting traffic into a two-way configuration on the westbound span with no resulting delays.
