Bay Bridge Delays Hit 28 Minutes Eastbound Amid High Wind Restrictions
High winds between 40-49 mph triggered vehicle restrictions at 5:32 PM while eastbound travel times peaked at 28 minutes earlier in the afternoon. Eastbound delays began around 11:00 AM and stretched up to 3.5 miles back to Exit 29A (Bush Frontage Road). Westbound traffic faced up to a 1.8-mile backup from Shopping Center Road between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM due to wind restrictions and lane closures. By 7:17 PM, delays cleared in both directions.
