Eastbound delays peaked at a 9-mile backup reaching Exit 23 (MD 450/Parole) on Friday afternoon, pushing peak travel times to 28 minutes. Delays began building around 9:37 AM at Exit 29B, while a disabled vehicle briefly closed the right lane at 3:18 PM. Westbound traffic also experienced heavy congestion, backing up 6.6 miles to Exit 43A at 2:48 PM. Conditions normalized with three lanes open eastbound and two westbound by 7:02 PM.
