Significant Saturday delays hit both spans of the Bay Bridge
Heavy weekend congestion caused eastbound delays to reach 6 miles back to the Severn River Bridge while westbound backups stretched 6.6 miles to Exit 43A. Eastbound travel peaked at 32 minutes around 1:00 PM, while westbound travel reached 21 minutes at 6:00 PM following a crash near Exit 38A. By 11:22 PM, the westbound span was closed for overnight roadwork, shifting traffic to a two-way, single-lane configuration on the eastbound bridge.
