Bay Bridge traffic remained clear all day despite scheduled overnight closures
Traffic flowed smoothly across the Bay Bridge all day Tuesday with zero reported bridge backups or delays. Scheduled roadwork prompted the closure of the eastbound span during overnight hours, shifting traffic into a two-way pattern on the westbound span before 5:23 AM and resuming by 9:07 PM. Daytime travel was equally light, unaffected by a midday westbound right lane closure or afternoon three-lane eastbound operations.
