Labor Day westbound traffic jammed US 50 for nearly ten hours
Labor Day return traffic brought heavy westbound delays starting at 11:47 AM from Exit 39A (Castle Marina Road). Westbound backups peaked at 16.8 miles, stretching back past MD 404 between 2:47 PM and 4:17 PM. Delays gradually contracted past Exit 45B and Exit 38A before fully clearing by 9:32 PM, while eastbound traffic remained completely clear all day.
