Eastbound Bay Bridge travel times spiked to 145 minutes late Monday evening.
Traffic across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge flowed smoothly for most of the day, but eastbound travel times spiked to a peak of 145 minutes around 9:00 PM compared to the typical 11-minute crossing. Westbound traffic saw only minor evening slowing, peaking at 11 minutes at 7:00 PM. Travel times in both directions returned to normal by 10:00 PM.
