Eastbound delays peaked at 3.5 miles during Sunday afternoon
The day began with the eastbound bridge closed for roadwork, shifting all traffic to the westbound span until 3:41 a.m. Starting at 11:41 a.m., eastbound congestion developed and peaked at a 3.5-mile backup from Exit 29a (Bush Frontage Road) between 1:56 p.m. and 3:02 p.m. Westbound traffic remained clear throughout the day, though late-night roadwork necessitated single-lane two-way operations starting around 11:17 p.m.
